This filter replaces the stock outer pleated filter on the Dust Right™ 1200 Air Filtration System. It provides the same high level of filtration with the benefit of being completely washable for a vastly increased lifespan and savings on filter costs. Simply wash with water and/or a vacuum. 12" x 24" size also fits many other filtration systems, such as the JET AFS-1000. Filters to 5 microns.

It replaces the paper filter and you can buy those original style paper filters at any store that sells furnace filters. Note that the original filter is not the really cheap furnace filter! You have to buy the better quality paper ones. My biggest problem with this expensive normally filter is that it is labeled as "electrostatic" and there is nothing electrical about this filter. The only electricity involved is static electricity. The filter uses an aluminum frame to suspend the filter material. I have an electrostatic filter on my central heating and air conditioning system in my house. It uses electricity to charge the filter plates that collect the dust. I gave it three stars out of five because it is reuseable. It may work just fine, but it isn't truly "electrostatic" as people who deal with HVAC systems would sell you. At full price I question its value. On sale it is a bargain and would get 5 stars. At half the price and relabeled as "reuseable" it would also get 5 stars from me. Editor's note: An electrostatic filter uses electrostatically charged synthetic fibers to attract small particles. A safe static charge is produced by forcing air across the filter. This static charge attracts and trap airborne particles into the filter.
