I have had this little saw for a few weeks now and I love it. I have been using a band saw to cut out Christmas ornaments for years and did try a scroll saw once. I wasn't at all satisfied with it, so I ended up taking it back and went back to using the band saw. When I saw the infomercial on this one I wanted to see it before making any decisions and went to Lowes to see if they carried it. I thought it looked great, but who knows until you try it. I absolutely loved it from the start. I have a little wet dry vac I use with it and can use it on my kitchen cabinet. This is a great tool.

Once I secured the Blade Runner down it cured the extra vibration and in turn the cuts were much cleaner and over all easier to use. I really like overall size and the ability to use on any product for a quick cut. I would suggest buying some other jig saw blades to use with the machine.

I’ve always lived in the county with lots of maintenance needs, hobby projects and storage space. My pole barn was loaded with tools like 12” compound mater saw, commercial 10” table saw, jig saws, tile saws, hand held tools for all sorts. After moving into a small ½ acre lot I realized I had no room for this type tools but I still had the need to maintain the new property and continue with my woodworking hobby. I saw a demo of the Blade Runner and decided to try it and see if it was what the advertisers said it was. They said if I didn’t like it I could send it back, no questions asked. After all, I don’t need commercial performance in a tool anymore, I’m not building a sky scraper I need a tool that performs the way I use it and for the task I need performed. I received the Blade Runner in about three days from ordering on-line. To my surprise, it did everything expected. I can cut and shape many types of material cleanly and efficiently. Now I have a list of very good, clean shop tools, with accessories to sell. Thanks Rockler. You made my retirement life exciting again.

I just got my BladeRunner yesterday and had to play with it right away. This is a great tool to add to your shop. You can put away the Jig Saw and you can leave the Scroll Saw under the bench. It was very easy to set up and the variable speed is very useful with different kinds of wood. It cuts through just about anything you can think of that you can lift up to the table. It comes with 5 blades, wood, aluminum, metal, ceramic and scrolling. You don't need to use any tools to remove or insert the blades.

Just got my Bladerunner yesterday going to send it back today. This saw doesn't even come close to cutting a straight line no matter what you are cutting. I was very disappointed with it.

I love all my woodworking tools yet this toll is a basic upside down jigsaw. Unable to cut straight lines. It's much better looking than it is as a quality useful piece of equipment. I am very disapointed. It's also only good for small pieces of wood cutting. It's much to hard or impossible to cut larger pieces of wood.

Sounded real good on the infomercial. Received it in a matter of days and put it to work right away. I'm extremely disappointed in it's performance. Vibration is excessive, very difficult to cut larger pieces of wood. I would classify this machine as a small hobby device. Cutting flooring -no way. Straight line - no way. This is an upside down jig saw, but you'll do better using your existing jig saw.

Very disappointed in the performance, difficult to cut straight clean lines. Vibration is excessive. This will satisfy the hobbyist but not a serious craftsman.

The 2 BB blade guides are too far from the saw blade. As you press forward with the cut the blade flexes as to not give a 90* cut. Second, the arc of the Blade Guide arm does not engage the BB guides at the height of a 2x4. I have heard from a Rockwell Rep and she said that the entire arm and blade guide affair is to "limit Flexing". I advised her that the 2 punched holes that carry the blade guide screws need to be closer together and that a 1/8" collar should be added to the blade guide screws. Next, the rather flimsy miter gauge riding in a cast aluminum "inverted T Slot" wiggles as to cause 3 to 5 degrees out of square on all crosscuts.
I disassembled my blade arm and elongated the screw holes inboard with a rattail file enough to place the BB blade guides about 2 thousands from touching the blades on both sides, Upon "miking" various saw blades available I found them to be from .030 to .050 in thickness. Next I added 1/8" small collars to the BB guide screws. I now have perfect 90* squareness on 15/16" Tiger Maple. I lined up a fence true to the miter slot parallel to the blade an smoothed out the cast slots with a Dremel tool with attached hood and emery drum. Next I made a new miter arm with a non wiggle fit to the slot and now have a true square crosscut. I have advised the Rockwell Rep and she said she would pass info on to the Design Group. I was fortunate to learn to cut threads on a metal lathe and gears on a milling machine in my uncle's machine shop at age 13, I am now 80. I have large shop and have both lathe and mill. I find the tool very useful, now that I have made these retrofits, for inside cuts and quick notching and like it rather than having to get out a saber saw and clamps, etc. Neither my son who is a builder nor I would try to use it to cut 2x4 or long pieces let alone any long ripping, but it is good for easy, no set up small cuts. I work in Tiger maple, cherry and pine; have made much furniture including grandfather clocks.

I bought the attachment that goes with the saw to make 45 degree cuts, picture frames. It doesn't even come close. This saw is only good for small/short cuts.

Got this saw for Christmas and was finally able to set it up last weekend to use it. Boy was I dissapointed. Could not get it to cut anything but thin pine. Definitely will not cut a straight line. Can't get it to cut a perfect 45% even with the picture frame attachment. I would not recommend this product to anyone, not even just for a hobby.

I bought this saw back three months ago saw it on the infomercials. I was never so disapointed in this product it does not cut a straight line no matter how hard you try even using the rip fence it didn't perform like the commercials. There was only certain blades that it came with. I'm a experienced wood worker I built display cases and other projects this was a waste of money .

Would not cut straight lines. Total useless for frame making with the extra purchase jig angles cut different each time no two line up real poor. Not recommended to purchase.

I am disappointed in this tool. It does not cut a straight line no matter what. The miter guide is flimsy to say the least. Pressure feet does not hold wood piece tight enough. Picture frame attachment is loose and does not give a true miter. However, the circle attachment works great even with 3/4 inch wood.
I realize it is new but it does need some adjustments to improve functionality

I bought one of these, it seems to work as I would expect. I don't understand all the negative feedback. I like this thing. I do, however recognize the negative aspect of having a stamped table surface instead of a machined one. It's not flat. I'm not sending it back.

This thing is the biggest (---) I have ever owned. If you want a straight line forget about it. It's taking up space in my work shop, would never let a friend buy this. Sorry Rockwell but this one is a bust.

A straight line cannot be cut with my BladeRunner. There is too much viberation with the saw. I tried various speed settings and I also tried different blades without any sucess. Overall the design is ok, but more investigation should be done by designing dept.

If you're looking for a meat and potato tool that serves many functions, and will eliminate the need to set up corder tools and benches all the time, then it will work great for you. If you are looking at this to make furniture with, than no, it will be a disappointment.

Don't throw away your jigsaw or scroll saw this saw does not replace it - I feel that I gave it a fair chance but I just can't find a place in my shop for it. Of all the tool that I have purchased this is the first one I am going to have to return.
