I wish that I had this product a long time ago. It will allow me to thoroughly clean my paintbrushes.

I love the idea of this product. Brushes get bent when stored overnight in coffee can. And I was really happy with the way it worked at first. But after about a week of using the storage container I'm doing a lot of painting here at my house, the blue plastic lid started to warp and crack. It looks like the top will soon break into pieces. As far as I can tell, the deterioration is a result of the paint thinner fumes. I'm using ordinary mineral spirit thinner. I haven't spilled any thinner onto the plastic, so I think the effect is just from the fumes. Makes this very good idea kind of useless, if the lid can't take ordinary paint thinner fumes.
Editor's note: This container is intended to be used for overnight storage of brushes and is not to be used for long term (more than overnight) storage of brushes or solvents.

As said above, the container firmly holds the brush suspended in the brush cleaner fluid. Unfortunately the top fits rather poorly after several days of use. I see the Editors note "not intended for to be used...for a long term." Since I am painting a large project, the container is used on a daily basis over the last 8 days. I suppose that constitutes use on for a long term. Even with a poorly fitting top, the container works better than a milk bottle.
