I purchased 1/8 x 3 x 24 yellow heart for a table top inlay project. Color is gorgeous and quality of the wood is excellent.

I decided to make a wood model of a 1934 Stearman biplane. I made 3 previous models using maple. I decided to try making a model using yellow heart wood from Rockler. I had never used yellow heart before. The yellow heart machined well, but did have an unusual odor. After 4 rounds of 220 grit sanding and polyurethane, it gave a really nice looking yellow finish...as you can see in the photo.
