I'm a QC supervisor for a lumber mill that operates two 6' band mill, running 40' band saws, I have 30 years experance as a lumber grader, electrician, and installer. I take great pride in quality of workmanship, in my job and at home doing my favorite hobby, Woodworking: Right out of the box, I was impressed with the fit and finish of this saw, Ive ran it a year now while finishing my shop and have had no problems what so ever. The only thing I can say, is if your over 5'10" or so, you won't like how low the table sits and you may want to consider raising it as I did.

Awesome band saw. Resaw is a breeze with this power filled workhorse. Points of interest: 1. The Drift Master mount does not align with the table mounting holes. Accordingly, the included universal mounting brackets must be used to mount the fence to the table. The problem I encountered was that the included universal mounting bolts were too large for the table mounting holes. Laguna customer service said this happens occasionally and offered to ship the appropriate bolts. I declined the offer and scrounged a couple of size appropriate bolts. 2. The Laguna 14 SUV requires some assembly. Mounting the motor is a bit tricky unassisted, but possible. Mounting the Drift Master to the table and then the table and Drift Master to the frame is even trickier unassisted, but also possible.

I am a believer that when I purchase a piece of equipment I do not want to have to repurchase it due to poor quality. I purchased the Laguna 14 14 SUV prior to Rockler getting involved with Laguna. I was very concerned because I never owned a Laguna piece of equipment. Have you ever been told "You cry only once," when purchasing quality equipment? Well I never cried at all. This Laguna 14 14 SUV is an awesome piece of equipment and is well priced. When I received my bandsaw I contacted Laguna about some concerns with assembly and they were more than happy to assist me. I am wood turner and have used the saw for cutting large blanks. I also am a novice in furniture building and have used this bandsaw for some fine cuts. I have never been disappointed. I own 4 bandsaws and this is the one that receives the most use No I am not wealthy. I also like the bandsaw blades Laguna sells. I have called in orders for bandsaw blades and have asked for assistance deciding which blade would be the best for cutting various materials. Customer service technicians have gone out of their way to explain the blade, it's design and the purpose of the blade. I find their blades last me a great deal longer than their competitors. I wish I could rate the 14 14 SUV higher than a 5. It would truly demonstrate the positives this unit offers. If you do not want to cry over a purchase, and shop for an item one time, seriously consider the 14 14 SUV. Thanks Laguna for a great product. Greg
