This is a huge upgrade over what I had before. Good suction, relatively quiet, nice remote control, easy to take the trash can out for emptying, and the casters make this very convenient. I'm sympathetic to the reviewer who struggled with the assembly. But when it's up and running, you quickly forget the setup, and this is a good machine.

I owned a 2HP Dust Gorilla. That said, fit and finish is pretty good on this unit. Instructions on this new unit, 11/12, were simple, but good enough to get the job done. Sheet metal used is not as thick as Oneida, but the unit is sturdy. The issue is, Laguna website says the unit produces 1450CFM. Other sites rate it at 1600CFM. Which is it? Even Laguna isn't sure...not exactly a confidence builder. If not for this, I'd rate this DC at a 4.
