I had a Shop Vac 4 1/2 hp 12 gal for about 8 years before it wore out. I loved it. So I bought the 6 1/2 hp 10 gal. I am not all that happy with it. The metal handle and tub shock  me everytime I use it. The smaller diameter hose gets plugged up all of the time and the suction is not as great as my old less hp that had a double diameter hose. But it is pretty to look at with the stainless steel tub :
