Great product though I wish the sled came as a little longer for cutting larger logs. Assembly was very quick, it would have been quicker if I had not put the part with the press handle on it backwards. I've had some issues where it will not hold a couple of pieces of oak that had been split for firewood because of twisting in the wood caused the piece to pop out of the clamping when tightening the press. Otherwise, it works great, especially for very odd logs that have bends or crotches in them.

Product does an excellent job of providing 2 sides on a rough, round log section on the bandsaw that are both flat and are perpendicular to each other. It is easy to use, to adjust and gives excellsent results for moving then to the bandsaw fence to saw lumber slabs off at whatever thickness you wish. I only wish that it could give longer lengths like say 26" rather than the 21". I definitely would recommend it as a buy for making short lengths of lumber from "found" wood.

The mill is designed to cut boards from a short log! that is cut one side flat then place that flat side on the platform and proceed to cut boards from the log. It is not intended to cut 2 sides parallel on a log as the fence is not necessarly square to the platform.
"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do.
Keep up the good work, Rockler!" -
