This is an incredibly powerful multi-purpose tool that will go from grinding to sanding to polishing in just minutes. With the push of a button, it switches from an aggressive, gear-driven rotary mode to a fine-finish, random orbital mode. The FastFix® sanding pads can be easily swapped out for a variety of applications — just push a button and twist off. Use the hard pad for stock removal, the soft pad (included) for finish sanding and the extra-soft pad for contours. Since it’s more compact than the similar R0 150 (72479), and weighs only 4.4 pounds, it’s ideally suited for long sanding sessions. Variable speed allows you to fine-tune the sander to the application. Includes 5" StickFix® pad (soft), sample abrasive, edge protector, Plug-It cable and T-Loc Systainer #2.

Awesome sander!!! What more can I say! Festool makes great products with some of the best service around as well! The dual mode makes sanding a pleasure, aggressive or fine and with the variety of abrasives they offer anything is possible with this sander. I would recommend this sander to anyone and even though it has a large price tag, it's well worth it. It will save you time and $$$!!!! Thanks Festool!!!
