A handheld planer that can hog off more than 1/4" in a single pass, smooth rough lumber to a glassy finish and machine precise rabbets of unlimited depth. Unique cutter head runs completely flush with the housing, allowing it to cut into corners with zero remaining lip. Spiral blade cuts on the skew at 10,000 RPM for more efficiency and an incredibly smooth finish. Every adjustment can be made without ever letting go of the handles. Rotate the front handle to adjust the depth of cut in increments of 0.004" and lock your setting with the thumb lever. Another thumb lever swings the blade gaurd out of the way for rabbet cuts. You can even convert this planer into a benchtop jointer with the optional Bench Unit (74293). All this in a quiet, lightweight tool that weighs less than 10 lbs!
