I have used the Kreg jig with and without this clamp. I will say that using this clamp makes for an easier and more accurate joint. I still use the face clamp that Kreg supplies, but using this Rockler clamp holds it in place and the face clamp keeps the joint flush. HIGHLY recommended.

I got two of these clamps today and they work great! Another reviewer commented that the quick release button would stick when trying to remove the clamp. Yes, I experienced that, BUT, I found that all you have to do is loosen the clamp maybe by a half-turn or so and the button works just fine. The pressure on the threads that is exerted by the tightened clamp will lock-up the release button, but relieving that tightness a little solves that issue!

This clamp is a drastic improvement over the standard kreg clamp I've used before. It really helps keep everything aligned and in place while you're getting ready to drive the first screw. My only complaint is that the insert into the pocket hole should be metal or something other than plastic that doesn't flex. When you tighten the clamp the plastic insert flexes and raises up the outside piece of wood you're trying to screw into. As long as you're careful not to over-tighten it works really well, especially in combination with a standard kreg clamp.

Just bought these clamps and used them right off. They worked excellent. I will be returning to get two more! I highly recommend them to anyone who is assembling anything where pocket hole screws are being used.

Its a good idea, and almost well executed. My does not sit flat on the boards being joined. I have to back the peg out all the way. It appears that it is not a depth problem, but a weak peg. Others claim it is great, so I think mine is a defect. I have drilled way past the point where it would bottom out and still have the problem.

I have both the quick release and the regular Pockit hole clamps. I've been using them on face frames and they are much much much better than the Kreg clamps that came with my kit for the face frames. I highly recommend them. However, the quick release feature only releases some of the time, it mostly sticks when I am trying to take it off the work. I've tried all different ways of getting it to release, but the button usually freezes. I'd buy again, but if there was a big price difference I'd get the non-release clamps. If there's any way to get more clearance for the drill bit, that would be even better.
