Thank you for the Trim Router Table and 5/32, 3-wing slot cutter: they are great additions to my shop. I mounted my Router Table with Porter Cable 450 compact router and attached slot cutter on a Workmate portable work table. This took only a few minutes. To better accommodate the slot cutter I enlarged the fence cutout vertically with a rectangle 1 1/4 in. wide, being a total of 1 3/8 in. from the fence bottom. This allows extra room to raise the cutter to centre on 3/4 in. material. Cutting biscuit slots is a cinch with this tool combination. Thanks again.

Before getting this I did alot of research and read many reviews. I have a Bosch Colt and the plate that came with my table fit with no modifications. I attached a piece of hardwood at the back so it could be easily clamped and moved. Works very well for small projects and well worth the money to me. Downside is the fence is easily damaged from just sliding wood along it. A chip developed in the opening the first time I used it. Doesn't really effect overall usage but work can get hung up a bit. If you need a small light weight table for the occasional project it is well worth the money.

I just started working small pieces of wood in the shop and was looking for a plan to make a table for my Bosch Colt trim router. After searching the net for awhile I thought of Rockler and looked there. I am so pleased that I did. This is a nice piece of equipment. I ordered the dust shroud with it and am very pleased with the its performance as well. My shop vac hose fits right on it. You won't go wrong with this and the price is cheaper than I could have made a table, fence and router base and dust port. The router base is now a permanent fixture on my router, no reason to remove it since it is better than what came with my Colt. It's easy to take my router in and out of the table, has good fitting pieces, fence is great and working on small pieces of wood just got a whole lot easier! It comes with all the attaching screws you need{fence, dust guard, etc. so no need to order anything else. I made a small fence to fit the shape of my router bit and attached it to the main fence using the screw holes that were for the safety guard. It allowed me to just expose that portion of the bit I needed for the profile I wanted. I am a good customer I admit I am embarrassed that I didn't think of checking Rockler first!

WOW! I am a retired 70 year old man, just learning woodworking. When I first started buying power tools, because of the cost I bought a DeWalt D26670 Heavy-Duty Compact Router. I found it very hard to use. Living in a retirement Duplex, my work area is in the garage with our car and our storage, not much room left for tools and tables. I just used this trim router table for the first time, and I love it! I need to learn more about using it, and an instruction sheet would have been nice, but for people like me, this table will really fill a need. Thanks for thinking of the little guy!

A couple of things would take this Table from "Good" to "Excellent". An assembly diagram would be very helpful. It took me a while to figure out how it all went together. I made one costly mistake. Written Assembly Instructions would also be helpful. There are three tabs in the router plate hole and three corresponding partial holes in the router plate. I assumed these were to attach the router plate to the table using the three included screws. I completed the holes in the router plate and then found that the screws were too large for the holes. OOPS. It seems that the three screws are to attach the Table to a bench or clamp board and the three holes may be for plate leveling screws not included.  Pins or screws to fit into the three holes in the table and the router plate would keep the plate from trying to spin when the router is started and when the router is under load. The table works great once assembled. The shortcomings mentioned above I have remedied myself and am very happy with the overall performance.

Editor's note:

Attaching and leveling the acrylic plate.

·        Included in the box are three screws for leveling your acrylic plate with your table top.

·        From the underside of the table install the three screws provided.

·        After setting the acrylic base into the table line up the three indents on the bottom of the plate with the tips of the screws.  The flat ends of these included screws seated into the holes in the table plate will keep the plate from rotating.

·        Adjust until level. Attach router to installed plate.

Attaching an auxiliary wood strip for mounting the table to a work surface.

·        Using the 3 predrilled holes on the back side of the table and 3 #8 x 1” wood screws (not included), attach a ¾” x 2” x 24” strip of wood.

·        Now you can either mount it flat for clamping the table down to a work surface or mount it vertically to mount in a vise.

I purchased on sale and I am very pleased with it. For quick little jobs where my full size table isn't necessary but some better control is helpful over full size hand held router, this little tool fits the bill. I've done some decorative edge molding so far since I have limited number 1/4 bits. Portability is nice. I set the table up with a Bosh Colt router and had no problem! Videos & attachment were helpful. As the retired gentleman reviewer stated, I'm going to have to explore all the possibilities but I am absolutely happy with my purchase thus far. Great tool for the weekender.

I do like this mini router table. I added an auxiliary wood strip that makes it very easy to attach to a workbench and use. Its portability and ease of use makes it a handy tool. I do, however, find fault with the fairly flimsy nature of the vinyl covered MDF adjustable fence. It took no time at all for the vinyl to start peeling at the opening of the fence. Something more durable needs to be used to face the fence.
