Pros - very easy to adjust height in fine increments -no set screws to mess with. Adjusts to taller heights than must roller stands which is great for mating with a drill press. Cons: Base does not fold up easily unless you remove it from third hand. Roller is weakly held on its base to narrow shaft of third hand thus it doesn't stay level unless board supported is perfectly centered on the roller.

I agree with Richard H. on his review comments. Here are a couple of additional comments: Pros: 1. I really like the height capability of this product. It is tall enough for my drill press and my tall miter saw stand. 2. The tripod makes the product very stable up to the roller. 3. The tripod is a little tricky to figure it out, but once you do, it opens and closes well. 4. The extra big feet really come in handy for keeping the 3rd hand standing on its own. My older pair of 3rd hands only have very small feet and they can not stand up on their own. 5. It is very nice to have a product that is multifunctional. I have already used the stands without the rollers for installing drywall and shower walls.Cons: 1. The roller needs to have a more stable method of attaching to the 3rd hand. The plastic cap that slides over the plastic top on the 3rd hand allows the roller to tilt either way, when the board is not perfectly centered on the roller. 2. The plastic cap on the roller that slides over the plastic top of the third hand sticks really tight when you try to remove the roller from the 3rd hand. I actually have to wedge a screwdriver in between them to remove them. There needs to be a better way to attach the two of them. Maybe some type of mechanism like the tripod has. 3. I do wish that FastCap could find a better way to release the extension. When the 3rd hand is under compression, the release lever is very difficult to push. 4. When there is no compression and the release lever is pressed to try to extend the extension, the lever has to be pressed just right to get the extension to be pulled out by hand. The other option is to just keep squeezing the extension lever and only move the extension 1/8" at a time. Overall, the roller, tripod & 3rd hand combination is worth the sale price ($60).
