Now you can have the smooth, soft-closing action of BLUMotion in a compact, space-saving hinge - ideal for face-frame cabinets or any cabinet where clearance is an issue. With Compact BLUMotion, the damping mechanism fits entirely within the hinge cup, allowing use of a smaller mounting plate. Each hinge has a switch for turning the soft-close feature off for use with small doors, and each retains the 3-way adjustability of other Blum hinges. Compact BLUmotion hinges are available in five different overlays, ranging from 3/8'' to 1-3/8''.

Note: 43870 is a Variable Overlay Hinge that mounts to the front of a face frame.

Technical Details:

110° opening angle
For small or lightweight doors, switch off the BLUMotion on one hinge per door.
Soft close feature engages at a generous 30 degrees for the gentlest close.
Full three-way adjustment.
35mm cup.
Restrictor Clips (47937) are also available below for restricting the opening angle to 86 degrees. This prevents the door from banging into adjacent cabinets or cabinet doors.

Overlay Applications
Use an overlay hinge if the door overlays the face frame completely, with a rabbet. It can be predetermined or variable. If it is variable, you'll be able to mount it anywhere on the widthe of the face frame and determine how much of the frame will be visible.

Inset Applications
Use an inset hinge if the door is completely flush with the face frame.

Self-closing hinges are an ideal for cabinets. The built-in spring pulls the door closed and holds it in a closed position, eliminating the need for catches.

Soft-closing hinges have an adjustable action that, when your door is pushed closed, automatically takes over and brings your door to a whisper-soft close.

Free-swing hinges are most often used in furniture applications, rather than cabinet applications.

Three-way independent adjustment means uniform cabinetry! Blum "European-style" hinges are easily adjustable for foolproof installation! Simply turn a screw or cam to make sideway and height adjustments for perfect cabinet door alignment. Some hinges also offer a depth adjustment, making installation easy even where minor cabinet irregularities exist!
	Side Adjustment Regulates the gaps between doors, cabinets and walls for perfect parallel alignment.
	Height Adjustment They match precisely at top and bottom.
	Depth Adjustment Lets you bring any style of door into line with the vertical surface of the cabinet.

Use the chart to determine how many hinges you'll need for the height and weight of your door.

A door that is 43'' high and weighs 14 lbs. requires three hinges. If your door is only 24'' high but weighs 14 lbs., go with three hinges for maximum support and stability.

Use on 5/8'' - 3/4'' doors unless otherwise noted.

Customer Rating:

Used these on a bathroom vanity and storage tower. Easy installation and the slow close action is smooth. We'll see what it's like in a few years. I've just ordered some more for another project.
