Having been cut from the stave of a genuine Jack Daniel's whiskey barrel, you could say that this pen blank has been in good spirits for the last seven years. That's how long the whiskey is aged before the barrels are replaced. The barrels are coopered by hand, from charred white oak and metal hoops. The black side of the pen blank was the inside of the oak barrel. Each whiskey barrel pen blank comes with its own certificate of authenticity.

Technical Details:
  • Jack Daniel's Pen blank measures approximately 3/4'' x 3/4'' x 5''L.
  • Made of white oak from a genuine Jack Daniel's oak barrel.
  • One side of the blank is blackened from the charring and distilling processes.
  • Once turned, the blank will look like slightly aged white oak. However, with some creativity, the blackened side can be preserved. Recall, for example, that the Jack Daniel's trademark bottle is square.

I've made 3 pens so far with this wood. Love every one! Easy to turn, finishes veynice. Must have for that Jack Daniels Lover
