These duster tufts are the ideal size and stiffness for dusting narrow, profiled elements such as window sills, window tracks, muntins and moldings. Made from 100% genuine Chinese hog bristles, they are soft and flexible, yet firm enough to reach into tight corners to ferret out any accumulated dust. They offer a great way to use up nice pieces of scrap wood — just turn a handle and glue in the tuft. Keep one at your desk as an attractive keyboard duster, or give them out as gifts. Available in 15mm and 35mm diameters.
  • Duster Tufts make a great detail brush to have within reach of your work table or workbench
  • Much easier to use than a full size counter duster or bench brush on many applications
  • An ideal project for beginner and intermediate woodturners!

Technical Details:
  • Duster Tufts are available in 15mm (approximately 5/8") and 35mm (approximately 1-3/8") diameters, where "diameter" refers to the handle end of the duster.
  • Both sizes measure 4-1/4" long.
  • Widths at the wide end will vary depending on usage.
  • Chinese hog bristles do not produce static electricity.
  • Handle blank should be 1/2" wider than brush tuft diameter, and 1/2" to 3/4" longer than the desired final length.
  • Not designed for food use.

Needed a brush to get into tight spots. This works great. I bought both sizes. Couldn't be simpler. Turn a handle, glue it in and you've a great little tool. After finishing it, I was getting requests from the family to make them a couple.

Was looking for a long "duster" that was would get into those hard to reach places when detailing my car. The long length of the bristles make it perfect....I turned a cherry handle, epoxied in the tuft of hair and I was ready to go. Then I made one that I keep on the shelf above my lathe to help in clean-up after turning. Keep the project kits for turning coming!
