With just a few clicks, the Click-N-Carve BE3030 CNC Router will have you churning out carvings and engravings with the ease of a printer! Boasts all of the plug-and-play simplicity of its little brother, the BE2015, plus an 80 watt spindle for more power, and a larger bed for more capacity. Simply upload your photo, load your workpiece, click "Carve," and the BE3030 will quietly rout out a replica of your photo in vivid three-dimensional detail. With its smooth-running 80 watt brushless DC motor, you will hardly know it's running.
All this in an unassuming package that easily fits on your benchtop. Take a look at the back of the CNC to see what we mean by "unassuming": two inputs, one for a power cord, the other for a USB cable. That's it! And with the software, the router, a how-to video and 8 acrylic workpieces all included, you'll be up and routing right out of the box. Perfect for any photographer, artist, furniture restorer, or woodworker!
A lithophane is an etched or carved piece of artwork on thin acrylic that can only be seen clearly when back lit with a light source. A lithophane presents a three dimensional image that is much more appealing than two dimensional engravings.

I had a problem with the machine not having full travel in the X axis when I first tried to use it. A few phone calls to the manufacturer, and I was able to correct this. The Bravo software, while OK for photo engraving, really limits the machines true ability. I purchased V-Carve Pro from Vectric which allows the bit to go directly to the point that the engraving needs to be, moving the X and Y axis simulatneously, rather than just moving back and forth in the X axis, which speeds up the process tremendously and produces smoother curves. Overall, this is a very good product, but I wish there was a larger variety of tool bits available, such as a V bit.

With this Click-N-Carve I was able to take a photo of my granddaughter and create this night light. I can hardly wait to give it to her for her birthday. When the light is on it has all the detail of the photograph. It is so amazing and cute. I want to make more! I am thinking of making a lamp shade or setting one in front of a window or... I used the acrylic sample that came with the machine to create this lithophane.

I was a little skeptical at first, but I have heard so many stories about using a CNC router, but they are just so expensive. Well, here comes a much more affordable CNC unit! Wow...! It comes with the software, the bits, the router motor! just about everything needed but a computer wrapped up in one nicely packaged box! The software is very simple to understand and can get you carving in a couple hours! I started out working on a small piece just to get my feet wet, a simple sign with some letters heck, I was able to do it in my office it was so quiet, then I did some lithophanes, which are by far the coolest thing I have ever made - then I decided to tackle a more complex carving out of wood. I went online and found the most complex image I could think of - the Presidential Seal. I have included the image that I used as well as the finished carving… I have to say, I am impressed with this little machine – Thanks Rockler!

I've had a Click-n-Carve BE3030 for about 2 months now. The machine itself is very good. Workmanship and overall quality is great. The one thing that has the highest degree of learning-cure {IMHO} is taking a completed drawing/photo and setting it up on the carver in a way that the image is perfectly centered. Even after 100 or more carves, I occasionally get my finished image off center. This is exactly the kind of learning activity {frustration avoidance} that a user forum would facilitate.
Editor's note: Hi Edgar, a sure fire way to hit center is to find the center of the blank piece by drawing lines corner to corner (use masking tape if you already took the protective cover off the plastic). Bring the cutter to this intersection and zero the X and Y. Once you load your photo in the CNC program you will notice the image size located under the image, take these X and Y dimensions and divide by 2 and move your cutter over on the X and Y axis this amount. For example: if the size of your carving is 4” x 4” then move your cutter from center zero 2” on X and the table back 2” on the Y. This will ensure a perfect center every time. We are looking into a forum thanks for the suggestion!
