Acrylic holds very fine detail - ideal for lithophanes and intricate carvings where the highest resolution is desired. These brown acrylic sheets are slightly translucent, and take on a sepia tone when backlit. They are sold in packs of ten, and can be used with either the
BE3030, or the
BE2015 Click-N-Carve CNC Carving Machines. Most other CNC machines will accept both sizes, but check the capacity on your machine.
A lithophane is an etched or carved piece of artwork on thin acrylic that can only be seen clearly when back lit with a light source. A lithophane presents a three dimensional image that is much more appealing than two dimensional engravings.
