Look ma—no hands! Rockwell's new Benchjaws free up your hands to adjust the workpiece while your feet do the work of clamping. No more endlessly spinning that crank handle with one hand while struggling to hold an unwieldy workpiece—just pump the foot pedal with both hands comfortably supporting your project. And with up to 2200 pounds of clamping force, and a 16'' capacity, the Benchjaws are capable of firmly holding some very large projects. Benchjaws can be easily removed from your bench and taken to the jobsite, and the two-position mounting bracket allows you to rotate the vise 90° to get the best working angle on your project. For all the benefits of Rockwell's popular Jawhorse in a sturdy benchmount design, try Benchjaws today!

The vise works well and, as advertised, it's especially convenient to use when both hands are engaged holding a heavier item or project piece too large for one-handed stability while opening/closing a vise. I wholly recommend anyone's making the purchase but need to warn against your being too quick in assembly. A 10mm nutdriver and an electric screwdriver (with a #2 Phillips bit) are the only tools needed for easy assembly. However, my rating would have been five-star if the owner/operator's manual and Rockwell's handy, quick start guide hadn't lead to more head-scratching than should be required-even. They use different words and descriptions! Both should be revised with exploded views and identical descriptions (e.g., step #4 in the Guide should say "flange" nut rather than "hex" nut, and prompts my suggestion below). Similar nomenclature for the three "plain" hex nuts and the two "flanged" hex nuts (both ID as M6 hex nuts) was confusing. I submit if you place the flange nuts into the mounting bracket (note the humorous comment in the video) as a first step, any possible confusion factor is decreased by a large, X amount. Also, when driving the first two (of 12) countersinking screws, be sure the bracket is firmly against both sides of the countertop/workbench so that the three, poorly identified, cylinder pins will fit snugly when the vise is attached to the bracket. Really, assembly should be simple, and the vise will be a great addition to your shop; after all, it's taken me longer to write this review than it took to put my RK9006 together. Further, the customer service reps at Rockwell are patient and helpful with trouble-shooting.
