Screw-on Corner Braces, 4-Pack

Whether for adding rigidity to cabinets and furniture, or for attaching padded seats to chairs and benches, these corner brackets are an easy and inexpensive add-on. They are also ideal for supporting the top rail of sink cabinets, which typically don't have enough space for a stretcher support running the length of the rail. The flats where the screws insert make installation easy since your screws won't wander as they would if driven in at an angle. Sold in packs of 4.

Technical Details: Corner Braces are constructed of a sturdy molded brown polymer. Diagonal of Brace measures 4-1/4" long. Right-angle sides measure 3" long. 3/4" thick. Attachment of right-angle sides requires (2) #8 or #10 screws (not included) per brace. 1) Submitted by Richard Breusch, from Huntington Station, NY on 8/18/2010 Customer Rating: If you are building large cabinets and want to give them extra support strength, this bracket is excellent because it binds the walls of cabinet together while taking little space in the cabinet. I placed these brackets in a pantry cabinet built to house swing shelves. While a very strong cabinet, I thought some extra support would make the cabinet more sturdy.

However, when attaching to table legs and aprons the corner of the project, being made out of 3/4" aprons and 1.5" legs typical, is not a clean 90 degree as the corner of the leg sticks out. This requires a 3/8th shim on one side. If the 90 degree portion of the bracket was truncated back about 3/8", this would take care of the problem.
