Use with connector bolts for making strong right angle joints. Use to make strong right angle joints. Dowel is steel, 16mm L x 10 mm. Shown with connector 1/4'' - 20 thread with 4 mm hex drive bolt (Item #62471) SOLD Separately) installed. Choose the length of bolt you need.

Tricky drilling the holes in the rails and getting things to line up but otherwise a straightforward install.

I thought the dowels could have been larger, but they worked great. Lining the dowels up with the connector bolts was a challenge, but they drew tight, very tight in fact there is absolutely no give between the posts and the side rails.

Since MDF has poor screw holding ability these cross nuts are a great alternative. These are a great buy & it would be nice to see them in 5/16-18 too!
