These handles as well as the brass latches all came from Rocklers. I do an online order one day and they are at my shop the next day. Rockler's is a very good company to order from, and back up their products 100%. I always know that I am going to receive quality products when I order from Rockler's. I woodwork for a living,so time and quality are very important to my business.

My violin case required a new handle to replace the original broken plastic mount. The size was a perfect twin to the old handle. I reused the original mounting screws without any trouble. I was pleased to save my case and now the plastic was gone forever.

Nice high quality product, but the screws that come with it are short, and will only support a material thickness of about 1/4". They say to counter sink them, but I wanted more strength than that. No problem - replace the screws with longer ones right? Yes, but the screw thread size is non-standard. Not quite 8/32 and not quite M4. I ended up having to tap out the holes to 8/32.

I purchased the leather handle for a briefcase that is 10 to 12 years old, but was in excellent shape except for the handle.
The handle fits nicely and looks great. It is a very high quality handle.

I used these handles to replace the broken handle on a bass drum case. A new case would have cost around $200. Simply replacing the handle saved me amost $170. You do the math.

I offer a handcrafted hardwood tac box for pet groomers & the leather handle is just the right finishing touch. Very nice handle, well cushioned & the leather is heavy enough to last.

I used these handles for a guitar case I built for a pedal steel guitar. Along with some corner protectors that I had ordered these all worked just fine. I could not find the corner protectors at any of the local home improvement stores--- Thanks for filling the order---Randy

I built this briefcase in the early '90s. The wood is Black Walnut and Carpathian Elm Burl. The liner and hardware are Rockler's. The owner has finally worn out the handle (about 15 years) and this is the same handle I used originally. It's nice that some thing don't change!

I made cases for some very expensive musical instruments. These plastic handles are inexpensive but look OK. They seem to be sturdy enough to take rough treatment by the musicians.

I use these handle for the pistol boxes I build using 10-24 tee nuts and machine screws. The case holds plenty of ammo and gun accessories.

Nice handle with good finish on the brass. But I find flaws. The outside edge of the leather where it was laminated together had glue or something smeared across the whole edge. Kind of sticky in some areas. It looked bad and did not meet my expectations for [the price]. The only reason I rated it good is because I can't find too many around. I'm going to have to start making my own stuff if I want excellent quality I guess.

The handle lasted for one use. The case was made from cherry with mother of pearl and veneer inlays and made for the purpose of transporting a set of bagpipes. The screw striped out and the handle fell off.

I used these some years ago and found like others the FH machine screws much too short for almost anything of wood that would be heavy enough for a grip like this so I assume these were made for metal. Also the thread pitch of the screws is odd and is neither SAE or metric and falls between 32 and 40 TPI. For the cost of these there should be no issues with fasteners.

I rate the product as poor quality because the screws do not comply with any known specification. The product description says use 8-32 in the desired length. The tap in the blind hole is not 8-32 nor is it M4. It is in between.
