This is my second order. I like the quality of the machine work and the finish. A plastic grommet would not have been as pleasing.

I wish this grommet was 2 piece. I used it in a granite counter top, it finished the hole up nicely and now I don't have all those cords on the top. My husband put some tape around the base for a snug fit.

The big problem with these grommets are that they are only one piece, thus there is a portion of the unfinished hole that is going to show. Most plastic grommets are two piece- a ring, which drops into the hole to finish off the edges and, and the cap, which covers most of the hole. Unfortunately I could not find two-piece metal grommets, so I had to settle for these.

Nicely made and finished. Two minor complaints though. 1. They are one piece so a portion of the core of your top is visible; if it's plywood, then the plys are quit visible. 2. They are sized 1 9/16"; most forstner bits sets (mine included) don't include 16ths. A 1 5/8" hole works, but they "rattle" around too much for my tastes.

Dan from Chicago comment is true, however, I personally did not notice it as a big deal. I much prefer the metal look to the plastic look which is why I got these. Once you have your power, network cables and cords running through, you can't even see the unfinished part.
I was concerned that they were going to be too small, but they ended up being perfect and I have at least 5-10 cables running through it.
