[The]price for a small maple grommet seemed high but given that I expected a quality part. Those received had poor finishes and grain tearout on the exposed surfaces. I had to sand extensively by hand and re-stain twice to avoid a very blotchy appearance. My first Rockler disappointment!

I bought 1 for a computer desk I was building and decided that they would work on our laminated floor for entry ports where the cables for the sat dish and stero cables came through it. It worked great! The Grommets matched the oak flooring well and gave it a finished look. Of course the one I used on the desk worked as advertised.
"Oh how I wish there was a Rockler someplace close to my home. I've bought so much since I found out about them on-line that they are a permanent "button" on my desktop." -
