I am an engineer by trade and also operate a part time custom picture framing business and wanted to purchase an additional pair of mitre vises for joining picture frames. The pair I purchased from Rockler were fantastic. In contrast to the poor quality on the ones I purchased from [another source], the sliding jaw was mounted very precisely to the vise face and they work absolutely fantastic. I specialize in extremely high quality picture framing and these vises from Rockler function extremely well and produce work that meets my high standards. If you are considering a mitre vise, don't hesitate a minute in ordering one of these from Rockler.

A made in Taiwan copy of the Stanley miter vise which is no longer on the market, but works great! Making your own picture frames is a breeze with this vise, accurate, made well and it works... what else would you want?

I just finshed my very first woodworking project (A workbench of course...couldn't do much without it!) and I can honestly say I did it mistake-free because of the advice from Charlie at the Rockler Store on S.Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis.
He sold me what I needed, not what I thought I needed. (which would have been about twice as much!) He was very patient with all my questions, and gave me great advice on how to do things.
These folks are knowledgable and extremely helpful.
