Great product! Guide to install is well written and easy to follow. Husband will use it to build a mission style sofa for our living room.

Excellent product! I own a Grizzly 14" band saw and it is definitely worth the upgrade. Blade runs true and smooth with much less twisting than the original equipment. The Jet and Grizzly guide kit is the same and I ran into the same problem with the blade guard being too short with the riser block installed. To solve the problem I modified my old blade guard. I used the top blade guard mounting slot and drilled the bottom mounting whole to match the new blade guard holder. The modification works great.

I have just got the guides installed and they look fantastic. I did think for the price Carter could have sent color pictures with better close ups to assist with installation instead of the black and white ones. But anyone who is mechanical enough to try changing their own guides will be smart enough to figure it out. One problem I did encounter is that on a 14" Delta/Rockwell bandsaw with a riser block installed - the new blade guard leaves alot of blade showing on the top side when the guides are lowered down to a nornal setting. Caution should be used when operating that way.
Just raising and lowering the guides may be cause for re-adjusting them for perfect alignment.
The are well made and pretty easy to install - but pricey!

This guide set is well designed and heads above the standard Delta guides that came with the 14" (1973) bandsaw I've had for 36 years. The blade tracks very true and clearly has much more back support with less wander and friction generated to the blade. This guide set brings the Delta up to the level of a Powermatic bandsaw, which has the same kind of bearing support design used by Carter. Photos are barely acceptable and directions could be written a little more clearly with more illustrations, arrows and directional captions. Installing the top support guide onto the round travel bar that comes with the saw needs to be done with patient care as the fit is very tight. At one point I even considered heating the Carter top guide collar to expand the hole, but decided against it since no one else in their reviews apparently needed to go to that degree. Make sure the bar is placed on something solid before evenly taping the Carter support onto the bottom end of the bar or it will be difficult to swivel.

Guide kit installs easily and works great. However, the saw blade guard is not long enough for the Jet 14" when the riser block is installed.
