Great product but I didn't read the dimensions before I ordered...didn't fit what I needed the hooks for so I had to send them back. Good service though!!

I built a little bunk-bed ladder for an older, well-built bunk-bed that came to us without a ladder--so I ordered this part, which was represented to me as fitting on 1" side rails. But although this certainly appears to be a good product, it would not fit this bunk bed--the rails are finished 1" thick--that's a FULL inch thick.
The product fits snugly over 3/4" stock, but it won't fit on full dimension material--and I just don't have any suitable way to properly enlarge the bracket.
(I have had to make wood brackets to fit the ladder to the side rails--they certainly work, but they do look "hand crafted".)
Comment:
The small-town American furniture factory that made this old bunk-bed years ago had to close in the early 1950s. The workers who crafted this bed and other furniture are long gone, but the wood products they made then are solid, are well built, and are likely to still be in use for generations to come.)
Now I just need a purpose for these un-used metal bunk bed hooks sitting on my work bench.

A good solid product. The bunkbed ladder is not straight up-and-down, but at an angle...so these don't fit exactly right -- they work perfectly fine. Price was much lower than going to a blacksmith job and getting custom made hooks.

The ladder that came with my granddaughter's bunk bed was the type that attached to the side, straight up. She wanted one on a slant, more like steps. So, grandpa made one. At the top of the ladder I trimmed the two ladder rails so they would match the vertical surface of the horizontal bed frame rail. At first, I tried to bend the hooks to match the angle. The metal was too thick to bend by hand and I didn't want to ruin the protective coating which is also thick. Trimming the top of the ladder rails was much easier and it looks better.

Good, strong product. My son's bunkbed ladder is not straight up-and-down, but at an angle...so these don't fit exactly right, but still work. Good price too, I think.

I replaced the hooks on the ladder for my son's bunk bed. The previous hooks snapped. The replacements I ordered from Rockler seemed a lot sturdier so I am hopeful they will do the job long term. The fact that I could order this part online made it a lot easier to get this mini-project done. So thanks Rockler!
