Extruded
Solid Brass Hinges are machined to exact specifications, giving you
a high-quality hinge that provides strength and performance. The pin hole
and knuckle interfaces are drilled and milled, enabling firm yet smooth
leaf movement and minimal wear between knuckles. Leaf
thickness is a generous 1/16'' thick. One pair per pack, screws included.

Formed
Solid Brass Hinges are made using stamped materials, and the knuckles
are formed after the stamping process. They are generally less expensive
than extruded hinges, and the leaf thickness is less than half that of an
extruded hinge. One pair per pack, screws included. |

Customer Rating:
The hinges are well-machined and look good. The screws, while they may be fine for use on light cabinet doors, are only about a half-inch long and look a little small for the 22" X 56" doors I have. The screws are probably fine for most purposes but I may have to get bigger ones for my doors.

The hinges exude quality from the moment you pick up the package. Each hinge is individually wrapped that causes you to anticipate unwrapping the first one. The weight and finish confirm that you have made a good choice. Then you encounter the screws..... Burrs in the slots made every fourth screw unusable. The manufacturer would do well to pay as much attention to the screws as they do to the hinge.

These are very high quality hinges, nicely finished and individually wrapped in the package indicating the manufacturer wants the finish to stay bright and unscratched during shipping. I used longer screws during installation.

Very good quality hinges. The leafs are tapered to insure a good closure of the lid of a box. Rockler extruded hinges add quality at an affordable price. We use the bright brass fixed pin hinge. They look and work so much better than the rolled brass hinges. They add quality to our tea boxes and other boxes we make.

Beautiful finish, nice quality hinge. Did not like the slot head screw, extremely difficult to use without stripping, and phillips head screw would help greatly.

The hinges have a really nice finish and felt of a very good quality. The screws which came with the hinges were another matter. In fact, I broke the first 3 screws I had tried to install even though I had good pilot holes drilled. I bought some new screws, none of which broke, and the hinges now look beautiful in my project.
