This product has two major faults. First, the jig is designed on the assumption that your inset drawer front is 3/4" thick. If your drawer front is thicker or thinner there is no way to use the jig but to mark the holes then measure for the changed offset.
Second, the Accuride instruction directs that the screws be mounted 1 1/2" from the bottom of the drawer for all size slides. The holes in the jig are 1" from the bottom of the jig. If the holes in the jig had been drilled 1/2" higher the jig would be far easier to use.

My jig happened to be square when it was shipped to me and I also happened to be working on a 24" deep cabinet, so the length limitation did not apply to me. I agree that it should have holes which line up with the drawer part of the slides to make it more useful.

At best this product rates a fair rating, the idea of having to cut the jig for shorter drawers is foolish. It also does not seat well and put the holes in square to the face. Hand layout would be faster and more accurate. The price versus cost of returns makes it a waste to return, but I go away feeling cheated. I expect better.
Editor's note: We certainly don't want you to feel cheated. If purchase was made via internet, catalog or phone our customer service at 800-279-4441 will be able to assist. If purchase was made at a store just hang on to your receipt along with the item and bring it in next time you visit. Returns can be made for 90 days. If it's longer than that and the item is defective we'll make an exception to the time.

OK, if you are an expert cabinet maker you may not find this necessary, but for a rookie like me it gave me the confidence I needed and was worth $16. I agree that you should check to see if the jig is square before proceeding.
One caveat... the instructions recommend the use of the #6 self-centering bit which is fine. However it gives the impression that #6 screws should be used to install the slides. In fact, #8 screws are specified by Accuride.

I used the Jig It to locate Accuride 3832 series slides on a group of cabinets that have face frames. I found that the hole location for the 20 inch slides was not the best choice of holes, it would work but not as well as it could. I change the location to a better set of holes, I also used the back side (the side without any holes) of the tool and put a set of holes to locate the drawer holes. I don't believe that the tool was planed as well as it could have been. But it will work.

It was not square and if used would have put a upward pitch on the drawers. It only had two settings and it wasn't set up to use for the nine drawer cabinet I was building. It didn't work well with the slides and didn't incorporate the holes you might want to use. If it wasn't such a hassle I would have sent it back.
