I bought 4 of these for and antique, expandable table. Very close to the original. Well made. Brass could be polished to a higher luster but unless you get under the table you'll never see them. A previous reviewer wasn't pleased because he expected too much. These are not supports. These merely hold two pieces together. In my case the table is made in two sections, each with its' own pedestal base. The forks hold the halves together. The extension fits between the halves and is also held together with these forks. Four pull outs and table pins support the extension.

I recently built an extension to my dining room table and installed this table keeper so that I could keep the extension tight against the table. This product was perfect for the job. It keeps the two pieces tight, is easy to use, and is nice and solid. I used two of them for my project and I'm very happy.

This product, or at least the one I received is a joke. Purchased a pair of these keepers for a 1'x 4'x 3/4" leaf extension. After installing the pair, the leaf droops down about an inch instead of being level with the table. The problem appears to be too much slop between the flat pins and their holders. Hard to believe someone would put a product like this on the market.
