Tune up your table saw to the peak of perfection.
Get the highest degree of accuracy with this combination Master Plate and Super
Bar. Together, they help you tune-up, calibrate, and align your table saw to
within 1/1000 of an inch! What's more, it promotes safer operation by helping
to eliminate kickbacks, sticking, and binding. The master plate is made of solid
1/4'' thick, flat-ground aluminum. It replaces your saw blade and bolts into
a 5/8'' or 1'' arbor to provide a full 10'' of near-perfect flatness for aligning
your equipment. The Super Bar jig has an-onboard precision dial indicator that
measures alignment as it slides in the miter gauge slot. This enables you to
keep the saw blade parallel, align the fence, square tour protractor, and check
runout on routers, drill presses, and more!

I first purchased the SuperBar fixture and found that I would want the Master Plate as well to make adjustments easier.
Setting up the SuperBar to slide smoothly in the miter slot while still holding the dial indicator firmly took some doing. I had to be VERY careful when sliding the bar in the slot and only push it from the ends because the dial indicator reading would vary by a few thou if you also applied pressure on the outriggers. In the end I was able to get the blade parallel to the miter slot within .0005".
The Master Plate only came drilled for a 5/8" arbor even though the literature states that it comes with a 1" arbor hole as well. I need to follow up an that part.
In the end the combination of the Master Plate and the SuperBar made realignment of my 25+ year old Delta Unisaw much more accurate than any other method I had used before.

The plate and the gauge are of the best quality. The plastic bar, however, doesn't hold the adjustment screws. This makes it very difficult to get an accurate reading. If the bar would hold adjustments this would be a perfect 6 star product.

I purchased a new Steel City table saw. Instructions said all settings were set at factory and no adjustment was necessary. Every setting was ok except for 90 and 45 degree cuts. I tried everything the instructions said to do but still got burning and bad 90 and 45's. I than decided to purchase the Super Bar with Master Plate set. When it arrived I followed the directions and boy, what a difference. All my angles and cuts are right on and now I get very little burning when cutting cherry. Best money I ever spent. I recommend this set highly.
