Upgraded from standard v-belt which vibrated the entire saw to this link belt and vibration is essentially non-existent now! Did the nickel test and passed on startup running and stop no problem. Very impressed with this product!

I read many of the previous comments that indicated an improvement in operation of table saws as well as a reduction in vibration. Some even talked of the "standing nickel" test. I was skeptical but thought I would give it a try. My Craftsman contractor's saw is in a somewhat heated garage{e.g. above freezing but usually colder that one would want to work}. Subsequently the saw started hard and had very noticeable vibration. Then I installed the twist belt. An immediate improvement was obvious. The saw started easily and there was no noticeable vibration. In fact the nickel stood- even from the cold start. Can't help but believe this will result in better cuts and making life easier for me and the saw.

I did not think the vibration on my Craftsman tablesaw was all that bad. But, after installing the power-twist link belt on it......WOW, what difference. There is practically no vibration at all. GREAT PRODUCT !!

I purchased this belt for my Grizzly table saw because I have had a vibration in it since I got it 10 years ago. I even looked into new pulleys but decided to go this route first. WOW is all I can say. As soon as I started up the saw I could hear and feel the difference. Seems like it starts smoother with less stress on the motor and yes, no vibration at all. I went right back and ordered one for my jointer and drill press. I would recommend this belt to any and all my fellow woodworkers. Thanks to the folks at Rockler!

I used the belt as part of a rebuild of an old 4" jointer. First try was too loose, but it is pretty easy to take links out to get that perfect snug fit. No vibration.

I recently purchased a used Sears table saw. It vibrated like crazy. I had spent time making sure everything was lined up properly, motor, belt, and pullies. Nothing I did helped. I purchased and installed this product and now there is no vibration or shimmy. Now the table saw will pass the nickle test. I highly recommend the use of this product to any one having vibration problems.

Put this belt on my new Delta Contractors saw. WOW what a difference. Before, the saw would shimmy and shake. Everything on the bottom shelf would walk off on to the floor in a short period of time. Now, the saw is virtually vibration free. Would highly recommend this product.

I replaced the belt on my Delta 10" contractors saw. The reduction in vibration was immediately obvious. The belt was easy to adjust to length with the interlocking segments and easy to install. Besides this application, it would be great to keep a couple of feet of this belt material on hand for a universal belt replacement for any 1/2" v-belt.

Actually, it's to soon to tell about this belt. Time will tell about how long it will last. It looks like a good product and runs good on saw. Very easy to adjust size and install. One thing for sure . I have always been satisfied with everything I have ordered from Rockler.

Love it. Before, a piece of wood sitting on the running table saw top would shimmy off in under 30 secs. After installing the belt, there is almost no vibration. I did the nickel test - stood it on end and it didn't move with the saw running. I also put a glass of water on the saw top, and could not see any ripples. Definitely worth the $.

Link belts make for such smooth running tools. I have a flat table sander with a link belt and just built a sharpening station powered from my drill press using a link belt to transmit power/motion to the sharpening wheel. Just wish it was a little less expensive.

I recently purchased a Grizzly Jointer and replaced the belt with the power twist link belt. Couldn't believe the difference in the vibration. There wasn't any. I am going to replace all my machines with this belt. Never seen anything like this before. And I thought I would give this belt a quick try after reading so much about it. Well I got the biggest surprise ever.

I can't believe how much difference this belt made. Prior to installation you could actually see my Powermatic saw vibrate and it was loud. I'd read about how well these belts were supposed to work to quiet the noise and vibration. There a little price compared to a normal belt, but now my saw purrs instead of squealing and no more visible vibration. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the result if you can talk yourself past the cost.

I does reduce vibrations, but not by a tremendous amount. However, I was comparing it to a newly installed fan belt. To compare I placed a glass of water on the table before and after and observed the ripples in the water...very scientific!

My experience is the same as most of the other reviewers singing the praises of these link belts. I put this belt on my 10" Craftsman table saw. I had concluded it was worn out as it rattled and sounded like the bearings on the blade shaft were shot. Now I can hear the blade "sing". Remarkable difference. These belts should be standard equipment on all belt driven power tools. Next on my list is the belt on my band saw.

I've installed these belts on my table saw, band saw, and 2 drill presses. These segmented belts smooth the operation of all of these machines. My table saw belt has been in service for 12 years and still works like a champ. I do take the tension off the belts when the machines are not in service. I'll always install these belts where they can be utilized.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I have never written about a product before, but after using the Powertwist belt, I had to spread the good news!
I own an older Craftsman belt drive table saw. It did vibrate and I thought that the vibrations and rattles were something that I had to live with. On numerous occasions I attempted to realign the belt and pullies to dampen the vibration, but nothing seem to help.
I had seen the information and read the reviews on the Powertwist Belt. I was interested in the belt, but I was hesitant to spend the $ for the belt. Finally I took the jump and bought the belt.
It literally only took me a few minutes to size the Powertwist belt to match the length of my old belt and install it on the table saw. As soon as I turned on the switch I immediately heard and felt the difference. A HUGE difference! My table saw is now nearly vibration free and much, much quieter! It passed “the nickel test” with flying colors!
I am very, very happy with the Powertwist belt and the great improvement it made to my table saw. I only wish that I would have purchased it much sooner.
Take it from me; don’t hesitate to buy the Twist belt. It does everything that it advertises and it is well worth the cost.

Upon adding the belt to my Grizzly contractor saw the vibration was considerably reduced. Definitely more than 50% reduction. I do recommend the product if you want to smooth out belt vibration.
On the other side of the coin, I've noticed more belt squall when the motor starts up...maybe the compound isn't quite as sticky as a the v-belt rubber.

I replaced the belt on my bench sander. I have tried several other belts, but as soon as they warmed up, they would either slip, or pop off the drive pulley. The link belt has yet to cause either problem. I will be ordering more soon.

Don't burn brain cells thinking about buying these belts! You can't go wrong. I have installed these on my table saw, jointer and bandsaw. Even new v-belts have taken a "set", much worse older belts left under tension. Most remarkably, my Delta 14" bandsaw is silky smooth. Just buy it.

I installed these belts on my Grizzley drill press. I was unhappy with the press and mentally preparing to sell it & buy a better brand when I tried these belts. What a difference. Quieted the press, dampened the vibration and increased the accuracy. Next I'll install more on my lathe, band and table saws.

I'd been intrigued by these belts for some time, and finally took the plunge. First to upgrade was my 14" band saw. What a difference! The saw runs quite smoothly and quietly now whereas it used to shudder and bump along all the time. I shouldn't have waited. I've now gotten belts for my Delta floor-standing drill press and my Dewalt Heavy-Duty 10" Woodworker's Table Saw - DW746. Both were improved as a result. Highly recommended.

Results in both cases have been very positive. I now get a smooth start and very smooth continuous operation on both pieces of equipment. I also plan to purchase the belts to upgrade my Grizzly jointer.

I put this on my contractor's saw, which had a lot of vibration, espescially at startup. My semi-pro shop is cold, which added to the problem with the stiff rubber belt. The power link belt made it like a new tool! Not only did it cut out almost all of the vibration, but most of the noise, too. It also has more power- I think the horse-and-a-half motor was working hard to spin that cold, stiff rubber belt. It's well worth it to get the most out of my saw. Based on the performance on the table saw, I'm going to get enough belt for my jointer and band saw as well. Buy it, it's worth it.

I bought an eight year old Powermatic model 64A contractors saw recently (came with the original drive belt). I used it with the original rubber belt prior to installing my link belt and I can truly say it made a world of difference. The price may be a roadblock for someone not in the know, but the twist link belt is by far the biggest value I've purchased from Rockler.

I used this belt on my Delta Contractor model table saw. I put many hours use on it over several years with no problems at all. It was easy to adjust and did reduce vibration by about half compared to turning the saw on with a cold belt. When compared to a warm belt the reduction was less noticeable but still well worth the price when making a fine cut. It also reduced the tendency of cut off ends to move aroound on the table.

One thing not mentioned is how quickly these belts will tear up your pulleys. They are also pretty noisy on a quiet machine evidence of the friction. They do work but buyers should be aware of these facts.

This is just a belt, for heaven's sake. I don't believe all these other 5 star reviews. Vibration may be caused by a belt occasionally, but this often? I'd want to see it with my own eyes. I changed out the belts on my disk sander, band saw, and big Delta lathe. There was more vibration before I changed the bandsaw, and about the same afterward. There was almost none before on the lathe and disk sander and none afterward but I hoped that the segmented belt would last longer hard to say, neither the standard v belts died nor has the segmented belt. Why did I change? I thought the segmented belt would last longer and be easier to change its about the same as a standard belt. Disadvantages? Cost! if you make it up the wrong size I did, you have to do it over again. I would expect a belt made up of many pieces will wear stretch more than a standard V belt. Cannot say if this will be the case since I've not experienced it yet about a year on the saw, but I don't use the bandsaw all that much. All in all, this belt performs pretty much like my old standard V belts. Transparent, and you don't know its there until it breaks mine have not, yet.

I added this belt to my Craftsman 1980 table saw and now can stand a nickel on its side anywhere on the table and it doesn't move (or fall over) on start-up or shut-down. Slight decrease in noise level compared to old v-belt.
