There’s never been an easier or safer way to get quick
depth-of-cut adjustments with your plunge router. The Router
Raizer lets you work from both the topside and underside of
your router table. Router plate shown not included.
|
With the Router Raizer no special insert is required (or
included) - use any router plate from 3/16'' to 1/2'' thick
will do the trick!
Height adjustments are made with a speed wrench that fits
through a small hole drilled through your insert plate. When
hand-held, adjustments are made from the top with a knurled
adjustment knob that also works with the speed wrench.
Router Raizer includes all the necessary components,
instructions, and templates you need to turn your plunge
router into an easily adjustable Router Raizer. Slight
modification to your router is required, but well worth the
effort.
Router Raizer (26031)* is designed to fit the following
plunge routers:
Porter Cable 7538, 7529, 7539,
Porter Cable 693/693PK and 6931 base;
DeWalt DW625;
Hitachi M12V and TR12;
Makita 3612B, 3612BR, and 3612C;
Ryobi RE600;
Craftsman 27505, 27506, 27510, and 27511;
Freud FT2000 and FT2000E,
Elu 3337.
*Slight router modification is required.

I bought this lift a few months ago. It was fairly easy to set up. I'm so impressed with it that I plan to buy another for a second table. It's easy to assemble and works great. I did add an extension to make it easier to change bits above the table.

Like other reviewers, it took a couple hours to install but I'm amazed at how well it works. At one point I had parts laying all over the place and panic began to creep in, but it's pretty hard to mess things up. It seems like plunge routers ought to come out of the box with this type of setup, but that might just render the more expensive lift systems obsolete :
I also have one other router lift system and the router raizer litterally performs just as well. In fact, I have found that the router raizer works a tad bit better. There isn't a ton of metal and belts and other stuff under the base plate capturing saw dust and making it sometimes difficult to change bits.

For the price your getting a fantastic product. Any other router lift system sells around $400. Very well designed and thought out to adapt to most any plunge base. Since there are instructions for 3 Porter Cable bases and the instructions overlap you really have to pay attention. Anyone that can drill a hole, cut a spring, and turn a nut will find this effortless to assemble. Another great product provided by Rockler. Lovin' it!!!

Took me about 2 1/2 hours to install, and it works great. I have made several cabinet doors with it and I am so impressed with it I plan on buying another for my second table.

I got this a couple of months ago. The lift portion is great. My problem is the plastic insert in the tablwe plate I have is not flat and is not quite the right thickness to match the groove in the plate. Also my table is not flat so that I cannot get the plate and the table top to be coplanar and not have the plate rock. I ordered a second plastic insert, and it was slightly better. I need to more work on this.

Took about 2 hours to take apart my router and get the parts installed , but works great! Hardest part was getting the nut tightened on my router to make the plunge action work. Will be able to cut those large raised panels now with no problem, and less than half the price of a lift!

What a great concept! Took a little while to make the conversion but it wasn't difficult and well worth the effort! Make sure you have, at a minimum, the required tools list in the instructions before begining the modification.

Took 2 hours to convert plunge base and alter plate for router table. Works great, but wish that I had purchased additional plate for table.

I installed the Router Razier in my Porter Cable 7539 way back in 2001, and it still preforms perfectly today! I highly recommend this product!

The product works well and does what it is intended to do. I found problems with the installation instructions and, unlike some of the other reviewers, the instructions were not that easy to follow. I had an Hitachi TR-12 router and it did not exactly match the installation instructions and I ended up ruining a plastic collar.
I did eventually get it set-up, although it took about 4 hours. I sent all of my typo corrections to the company, so perhaps they'll correct them.

It took about 1-2 hours to modify my router to accept the Raizer.
Pretty easy installation and the adjustments for bit depth are much more precise now.
