This combo is the BEST sanding block in my shop, and the only sanding pad that allows hand sanding in difficult spots without ripping my fingers up. The sanding block is not only convenient because it uses standard 5" hook-and-loop sandpaper, it's ergonomically friendly. The design also allows very flexible diversity in corner sanding because of the way the paper wraps on the sides and is available at either end. The pad is delightful. Previously, I avoided all freehand sanding but this thing makes it possible and even fun. Easing edges is no longer a chore, it's actually fun.
My neighbor stopped by the other day and practically drooled on my workpiece. I can't imagine why Rockler is the only place on earth where you can buy this little gizmo -- but hey, I know where to get one and there will always be at least two on hand in my shop!
