Puchased the 3-1/8" bit to bore holes for the recessed deck lighting kit. The bit works great on wood but when I tried it on composite decking, it would grab and twist causing an uneven bore hole. I ened up puchasing a 3 1/8" hole saw and then routering for a flush bottom...worked great!

Very easy to use this bit. However, be sure to use a secure holding device and a heavy duty drill press. This is the second one of these I have, one for sharpening and the other for use. Shipping was immediate and the tool recieved in just a couple days as well. ROCKLER was the only place I found tha carries this bit.
"Recieved our order of glass and wire mesh. All items arrived intact, which was no surprise considering the impressive packaging.
I've dealt with what many companies consider appropriate packaging, which, at best is hit-and-miss.
