Although the nut was missing from the set up tightening arm when delivered a trip to the hardware store and $0.13 later it worked fine, but one should not have to go through that should one.

Editor's note: We agree Chris. In the event of missing, damaged or defective parts our customer service at 800-279-4441 is always available to assist.

Does the job, grip is uncomfortable so this is not something you would want to use all day. For the occasional job works fine and price is right

In the past I've used the Pushmaster with both V nails for assembling frames and points for mounting the backing. It worked fine for soft wood, but failed miserably with a recent set of purple heart frames I built. I ended up using a different method for assembling the frames, but ordered the Framers Pliers for mounting the backing. I've never used the Frame Master to be able to compare it to these Framers Pliers, but the Framers Pliers worked pretty good, and cost a lot less. I was able to drive the points into the hard purple heart reasonably well, with only a couple points that ended up bent. One reviewer noted that the framing points break if you change the picture out. I would say the points used with these Framing Pliers aren't the best choice for situations where the picture will be changed occasionally.

I was surprised and disappointed that the pliers were plastic. I don't knowingly buy plastic tools. But they do work, and my use will be only occasional. The pliers and points work adequately in soft wood; I haven't tried them yet in hardwood.

Easy to insert, I have only used these in about 10 frames so far. It has been my experience that they easily snap off if you disassemble to change the picture out.

"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do. Keep up the good work, Rockler!"
