I have a small photography business and I am beginning to make canvas gallery wraps up to 20x30 inches. After some practice on assembling precut strecher frames, I tried the Clampmate. It was so amazing, that I ordered a second clamp so that I could make them two at a time.
I usually leave the frames mounted in the clamp overnight so that the glue cures well. I found that they are not only squared perfectly but leveled too if you set the clamp on a level surface like a sheet of glass. This product is a real worksaver and produces very accurate results.

I'm a first time wood worker and I could not have done my project without this tool. It preformed exactly as advertised. I made frames in sizes from 11x14 to 39x19 and never had a problem.

I have had one of these clamps for years (purchased elsewhere)and use it whenever I am making frames for my paintings. I was pleased to learn that Rockler offered them and ordered two more. They are easy to set up and apply even pressure at all corners, although I often add bar clamps to the top edge of deep frames.

Works nicely for medium size frames such as 8x10, but anything smaller it won't do because of how the clamps have to hook up.

I am a stained glass artist and I usually frame my pieces in a wooden frame. Since I have the Clampmate Frame clamp I can finish my project so much quicker and without a hassel. My windows look like a painting now with the wooden frame. I use my tablesaw to run a groove in the middle of my board to fit the glass piece into it. After mitering the corners of my frame I fit it around my Stained Glass piece, glue the corners and fit it in the Clampmate. This is so fast and my art pieces look amazing. I actually used a cheaper framing set which I purchased several years ago from Rockler, also, but this is so much better.

Hated It! Very poor, almost minimal instructions. I had trouble squaring up a small frame (which I squared up in just a few seconds using the Rockler Quick Release Clamp). Then over tightened (hard to judge how tight to make the clamp)and torqued a frame. I've decided to toss this clamp into my "use only in extreme emergency or throw out" drawer. The Rockler Quick Release is far, far better, much easier to use and less expensive.
