This is a great product. Much better than band clamps. One thing to look out for is when your frame height to width ratio gets much bigger than 2 to 1. Ideally, the frame legs would be at a 45 degree angle which will produce equal pressure on the height and width. The greater the height to width ratio the more this angle changes. One fix would be to use a longer bolt or some other method to draw the two halves together. Other than that, this is a great product.

Getting the clamp set up for my thin, oblong frame was a little tricky, but frankly this is lots easier than trying to use separate clamps. Highly recommended.

I have always had problems getting frames square with corner clamps or pipe clamps. It was always trial and error in getting the right pressure on all four corners at the same time. This frame clamp works as advertised and the frames are square and tight. I found the bolt and wingnut to be cumbersome for me so I use the Irwin quick clamp instead. The first two frames I made were 30 by 42 and were exactly square.

I built a pict frame like a shadow box.Size was 12W" x 9"L. It required 2 pcs ea 2-1/4"W x 2"H x L. It worked well bringing all 4 corners together at the same time. The only problem was because the frame was 2" high it wanted to pull the bottom together an not the top. My frame was higher than normal and higher than the clamp fixture. A few regular clamps took care of the problem. I sure couldn't beat the price! I'm happy.
