This is a great product. I got the 12" supports for my super old Duxbury Drop-Leaf table. They installed easily, are of excellent quality and totally did the job well. No more sagging. My complaint though: the twist-a-cap diagram and instructions for use are almost totally useless and I even downloaded the .pdf directions from the sight. For me, the twist-a-cap things are not totally intuitive and although I have them working, I'm not certain that I did it right...which is slightly annoying for my OCD way of doing things.

The 8" drop leaf supports work great! I built an entertainment/computer cabinet on wheels for the end of my bed. I wanted to make sure I would have enough surface space for anything I needed to set on top so I added a drop leaf to each side of the cabinet. I'm very satisfied the cabinet and the product I purchased. I need to repair a drop leaf table and I will be purchasing the supports from here.

Just what I needed to add a drop leaf extension to my mobile island cart. I can now sit at the island and look up recipes or have a snack. My grandson is going to love sitting at the island watching me cook up something delicious for him.

Worked out good. Was using on the table supports of an old typewriter table. Could not get them level and it would have been nice to have instructions included. The brackets work great.

Used the measuring guide (in the "more info" part) to determine which set to order. I was replacing an original support that had broken. The fit was perfect, I ended up using the old screws in the exact same mounting location. Table leaf is level and sturdy. No more stacking books ontop of a snack table to support it! A great product, easy to install. A+

I bought these supports to repair an old dining table that had one broken support. I'm good with fixing things, but terrible at measuring accurately. This was so easy to install that I was not aware that there were installation instructions available. It installed easily, and using a level, it is also very accurate in spite of my personal deficiency.

We have a 20+ year old drop leaf kitchen table that is the perfect size and shape for our needs that needed one new support. The original manufacturer no longer exists. Yours worked beautifully and I am sure we will have many more years of using this table. Ordering was easy and shipping was prompt. Thank you!

The brackets work excellent. The adjustment feature and the finger pulls are something that sets these apart from others I have installed.
It would be nice to have a better way of gauging the distance's to place the ends when the table top does not extend the predetermined distance in the data sheet.
After trial and error they installed perfectly with a 1 1/8" overhang, which, by the data sheet (definitely download it)should have been 2 1/2" (distance A).
I would buy this product again if the need arises.

I am an Audio Visual technician/designer so my woodworking skills are no where to be found. I wanted to make a shelf in our craft room that would drop down and be out of the way when not in use. So I did some web searching and found this product. It turns out there is a Rockler store near me so I went there and purchased these supports. I down loaded the instructions and proceeded to make a drop down shelf from an old sewing machine cabinet. I found the instructions very easy to follow and my finished product is just what I wanted. The level adjustment is the greatest. I was able to level it perfectly with the turn of the adjuster. Right now there is a Singer Surger on the shelf with no sag what so ever. A very impressive inexpensive product that I will recommend to anyone

I used this product on a drop leaf dining table I built with a 1 1/8" top. Two supports for an 8" by 48" leaf created a surface on which I tested approximately 40 lbs of pressure without deflection. More than sufficient for my purpose. The simple but effective micro-adjust feature makes it easy to get the top of the drop leaf perfectly level. The no-pinch pulls are an excellent idea, and when the leaf is dropped, they can be pushed back and out of sight. Although not a complicated product, better instructions would have been useful. The PDF file on the website contains detailed instructions. I would buy this product again.

The product does work great, however instructions would have aided me in getting it level. Now one side is livable but the other side of the apron sags. I have almost run out of drill places. Please send instructions to my email on how to level it up.
Editor's note: please see link under 'tech documents' in left hand side bar for instructions.

Great product; locks table extension very solidly ; directions enclosed with product are not good, but web site illustrations are very good. Also found the web directions helpful in adjusting attachment dimensions to fit table dimensions situations that are not exactly within their specification limits. Would definitely recommend web site instructions to be included with product

[] I'm trying to figure these things out. The direction (which there are none) stink. The supports do appear to be well made.
Editor's note: Directions are available in the left hand side bar of this offering under the "Tech Documents" heading.

I tried twice to figure out how this hinge attaches to the drop leaf and carcass. It is a good thing I bought some patching materials. It would be helpful if the directions in the more info section were included w/ the product.

Installation was easy (once we figured out the proper angle). The supports lock firmly in place and hold the leaf well.
For a first time user, the proper angle was a little difficult to figure out.
I recommend these supports.

The drop leaves on my table are level for the first time in 20 years. These supports work very well, and I have tried many. I didn't quite understand how to install the supports, but called Rockler Tech Service and they patiently walked me through it.

After much research from other suppliers I chose these brackets from Rockler because they seemed best suited for the kitchen island work table with drop-end leaves I just completed. Installed on the finished table, they work as advertised. It should be noted that the limited "directions" card that comes packaged with the brackets is not sufficient for proper installation. You should download the PDF file as suggested on this product page and follow those directions & measurements explicitly for for a "works-the-first-time" job.

Great product! Bought this to repair a kitchen island that was equipped with flipper hinges - which are great if you only plan on resting a wine glass on the drop leaf. After six months of physics working on the ill design the flipper hinge worked itself out. This product could not have fix the problem any better! Snap-locks into place and is sturdy as a rock at least for now. Make sure you order the correct size - read the information on the "More Info" tab! it explains a little better. Rockler could clean-up their instructions on how to select the correct size and what range of a drop leaf is capable of supporting. Keep in mind that the instructions state to attach the support bracket AT LEAST half the length of the drop leaf! however, by attaching the largest support your drop leaf table can support in my situation I could have used the 8" or 12", the sturdier the drop leaf will be again physics & leverage.

We rescued a beat up old Duncan-Phyfe style table off the curb in the rain and kept it in the garage for 2 years until I decided to try and rehabillitate it. I completely dismantled it, glued the veneer down, refinished it and ordered new leaf supports. The apron on my table was not deep enough to use long enough brackets, so ordered the 8" ones, the same size previously installed. They don't reach to the middle of the leaf, but I held my breath and screwed them on... Voilla! It holds up the leaves! It's a miracle to me. This once forlorn table now sits in the dining room and is as usable as it is beautiful! These are wonderfully strong hinges!
