I've been using these table top fasteners for my projects built for my kids. They work well and don't take up much space for the support the give.

I've used these fasteners to hold down counter and table tops and they work great. I decided to use the fastener to hold up a quilt rack on the wall and they work great because of the weight of quilt and solid oak rack.

I usually use wood buttons as fasteners on all the pieces I design. Unfortunately I did not take into account the kickers for the top row of drawers. They encroached on the space I needed for the wood buttons. I had a bag of stamped desk top fasteners that I bought several years ago. It turned out they were all rusty. These solid steel fasteners are far superior to your competitor's product.

I used them to hold upholstered inserts for cabinet doors. Worked like a million bucks or a billion in today's economy.

Customer Rating:
These are not the high quality fasteners, they are cheap stamped steel, If you tighten them just a little to much the screw will pull right thru the fastener. I was very disappointed to receive these instead of what I was used to. Most of the five star reviews here are for the old fasteners.

Perfect for attaching the top to the bedside nightstand I just completed. If only I could remember to attach them pointing towards the length of the top rather than the width!

These are a great product. I was working on a project where I had to construct the frame cross members inside the brickwork because the side members were taller than the opening, so I couldn't use dowels, biscuits or screw it in from behind. Toe nailing was too "clunky" and wouldn't provide the srtuctural integrity I needed so I turned to the desktop/"apron" fasteners. (See pictures attached)

These are heavy duty; almost 1/8" thick and will not bend when you join tops to aprons. Just be sure to make Forstner bit hole same depth as desktop fastener and let bit hang over apron some. Basically a good value and does the job well.

I have used these for several table tops. They function as advertised; I have never had an instance where they failed to secure the top. For the money, it is a good value.

I used the desk top fasteners to attach the table top to the leg assembly on a cherry coffee table that I made this winter. The project turned out great.

Customer Rating:
To maximize the holding power I wanted full contact between the fastener and the table top. However, you don't provide the thickness dimension of the fastener that will define the depth of the recess on the table frame. Also, because the fastener is slightly cupped, I ended up having to fit each to its frame recess hole.

I use these all the time and loved them {yes loved them}. I just bought some in the spring for a coffee table. I finished a matching end table and went back to get more. They used to be a piece of punched steel about an 1/8in thick and were good quality. They are now a thin piece of rolled steel, price is the same and the quality dropped along with the appeal for me, they just look cheap.

These are great little fasteners, had to have them to finish out my china cabinet that I'm making and they worked great for the top on the base unit . Very hard steel and SS screws . Worth the investment.

This new style is junk the screws pull through and the look cheap. The old punched steel was a quality product. Any review older than 2012 was for the old style.
