What in the world took me so long to get this jig? This is hands down the best jig I have ever owned. It is very sturdy and well made. Exceedingly easy to use it has taken all of the frustration and questionable results that I got from my previous doweling jig. Get this made in America jig, you will not regret it!

This is easily the best dowling jig I have ever used - and my newest favorite tool...It's easy to use, accurate, and I suspect that my biscuit jointer is going to be gathering dust in the future.

This is the first and only doweling jig I'll ever need. It is easy to use, accurate, and it works well with either an hand drill or drill press. Pair it up with brad-point bits and a stop collar to make your project go faster. I'll be using dowels more frequently on future projects because of this jig.

A very nice accurate jig. I much prefer dowels over biscuits when joining boards. Thanks you.

I bought one of these for my son, who used it to build a glider with good results. I recently purchased one for myself and have been very pleased with it - easy to use and very accurate. Works well both with a drill press and a hand drill. Dowels that come with the kit are uniform and superior to those I've bought at big box stores.

I'm making a media center and have used the jig to build the doors. It is very accurate and easy to use. I save a lot of time by not having to make mortise and tenon joints by hand.

I had never done any dowelling before but have used this one twice now. My first was simply joining two pieces of wood together for a shelf and the second was to connect two cabinet doors together so that pulling one know opened both doors. This worked fine for both.

This is really the best dowling jig for the amature carpenter. I tried other jigs, but they are not as user friendly. This jig makes dowling a snap. If you are doing a small squared table leg, you have to plan ahead by drilling two sides of the leg for a side piece and a front/back piece. Also make sure that the hole that you drill is deep enough for the dowel pin.

This is the best dowelling jig I have found. It is dead accurate, easy to use, solidly built, and versatile, working on stock up to 2 inches thick. When I first recieved it, there was some play in the center block, leading to some inaccuracy. Although the directions don't address this, I discovered that the little set screw in the center of the block wasn't tightened fully. Once adjusted, it worked like a charm. A very worthwhile investment and necessary tool for dowel joinery.

This doweling jig was recommended to me by several different people. After it arrived I tried it on a few different pieces of wood. Every time it gave nice centered holes, so far I have yet to use to centering pins that came with it. The score of 4 was do to the fact the handle could be a little larger. I have arthritis in my hands and found it hard to release it after it is clamped down.

This tool is one of the best investments I've made in my shop for many years. It's easy to use and speeds up the job tremendously. It is well made and should last for years. After just one use it has become a prized posession. It is money well spent.

I purchased this dowel jig after I became frustrated by trying to use an older design for drilling dowel holes on a project.
The centerpiece of this jig is the self centering feature. This is a very clever and functional design.
I was able to glue up pieces with almost no ridge in the joint after three practice runs.
Without question, this is now one of my most prized tools!

I bought this jig for a cradle project and I ran a couple of test joints with it before starting on the expensive hardwood I am using. I found it works very well as long as you have plenty of light to see the alignment gooves. In partiuclar the 3/8 alignment mark on mine appears to have a ridge along one side of the groove which, in poor light makes it very difficult to align the tool with my line on the wood.

This is a O.K. jig. You will need really good lighting to see you alignment marks the smaller holes are pretty hard to see your marks on. The rod they use for tighting the jig is a little small also. If you plan on using it everyday I would consider a different model.

I had been considering a Dowelmax but simply couldn’t justify the $300+ price tag. After searching and reviewing I decided on this jig. I found it to be solid, well built and easy to use. The previous reviews were dead on accurate in describing this product and how it works.

The centering bar is a bit off 1/32" left to right. Maybe I can tweak it with a screwdriver or some other insert to make it center properly. Don't see how the 2 allens that hold it to the aluminum base can be used for adjustment.

Received the Doweling Jig a month ago. Have not used it yet, but I am sure it will do a great job. I have a big problem with the jig. There are no hole size markings on the face of the jig. No way of knowing what size to use. I am sure I will learn the hole sizes with a little trial and error.

The jig met all of my expectations. However the dowels that came with it all seem to be over sized. I tried to use them on several occasions and none of them would fit the recommended holes.
