Dowel Rods - Walnut - 36'' long

Save money by cutting your own walnut dowels for joinery or use the long lengths for chair rungs and other furniture components. Walnut provides a pleasing contrast for pinning mortise and tenon joints in lighter colored woods. These dowel rods are made of the finest quality walnut, smoothly sanded and kiln-dried for optimum stability and straightness. All dowel rods are 36'' long and have a tolerance of +/- 1/64''. Diameters range from 1/8'' to 1-1/4''. Sold singly. Minimum order for dowel rods is $5.00.

Added a little colored stain and all is well. Good product.

Since it will be used for shorter peg lengths it should be OK. Wood quality is also rated 2, some small splits.
