Just a note that may help some one using the Chinese checker drilling jig.
I secure the jig in place with two domed faucet washers( outside dia that fits snug in the template hole) and two 6 X 1/2 wood screws. Drill all the holes except those holding the template in place. Remove the two screws and washers and drill the last two holes.
Made checker boards for my Greatgrans (10) and not one
hole misdrilled. So it works great.

The jig works well; the self-centering bit that comes with it has a few small problems. First, sawdust gets into the centering mechanism and has to be cleaned out from time to time. Second, the bit tears the surface of the wood a little (I used maple). I don't know whether that's because it's not sharp enough, but 100+ little holes are a pain to sand.

I thought the "system" would come with everything I needed to make the Chinese checkers board. When it arrived, I was surprised that the "system" did not include the self drilling bit.
