I've used the padded ring bars in the past, and recently had the opportunity to use them again in two new jewelry boxes. High quality product, but the spacing between bars is exceptionally tight. The ring bars could be more useful with a bit more spacing between the bars which would accommodate wider ring bands. I'll use them again in the future even if the spacing is not increased!.

Quality item, but a little tight for wide ring bands. Adds a nice finishing touch. Highly recommended.

The ring bar is pretty easy to work with and added a nice touch to the jewelry box I made. Wide band rings are a little hard to fit in it, but small/average width rings work great!

It was easy to cut to size and it holds the rings very well. I built a hanging jewelry box for our anniversary and this ring bar was perfect for it.

I would agree with the comments on the spacing and stiffness. My comment is for cutting the bars to length. I used a fine tooth blade 6 TPIon my bandsaw. I drew my cut line on the cardboard back. Place a wood scrap on the bandsaw table. Next the ring bar, cardboard side up, on top of the wood scrap. I also used a wood scrap to back-up the location where the cut exits to prevent tear-out. I did the cut slowly. Cut edge came out as good as the factory's. I also tried cutting a piece with the cardboard side down and it came out good as well.

Here are some installation tips. Cut to a tight fit side to side. This will be enough to secure in place. If not, Scotch poster tape double sided works well. You can cut lengthwise on a bar joint with a utility knife with a new blade. Put the cut side against the inside box wall. I get a nice clean cross- cut on my miter saw. YOU MUST USE A SHARP, FINE TOOTHED BLADE.

I haven't got the stuff cut and into the boxes yet, but the quality is very good. I can see how it might be a little tight on some wider bands.

Looks nice, but product is much too stiff to get a wedding band into. They said it would soften up over time, but that would not help me for selling new jewelry boxes. Customers would have problems getting their rings in.

It is a great product. I wasn't sure what I was getting. I saw some in craft stores and was not pleased. I'am glad I went with Rockler. They look like something out of a nice store bought box. I was not sure how to put them in, I didn't know if glue would warp the cardboard on the bottom so I used two sided tape. I will keep buying it.

Saw similar jewelry cases online of inferior quality (mdf and veneers). Rockler ring bar really added the custom finishing touch.

The padded ring bars were very easy to work with and well made. The velvet is a very nice quality and really completes the jewelry box.

These padded ring bars are easy to cut and install. They are a bit more rigid than I would have liked however I am pleased with the finished result. The high quality velvet is very nice and the heavy paper backing provides a solid mount. As usual, a high quality product from Rockler!

These are very nice ring pads that make the job of jewelry boxes a little easier. The Pads are a little firm and make it hard to insert wide band rings, but are crisp in appearance. I would recommend them for use in you fine projects. My only complaint is that they are often not cut square. As such, I do not recommend making the tray until you have them in hand. The dimensions are sure to change after you cut them to square them up. This has been the case with all the colors available.

when you put a bigger ring in it cause the bar to mold to the shape of the ring and one you pull out the ring it the marks stay there and it makes it look bad

The bar is too stiff. It will not hold thicker rings. Even if it softens, I'm afraid the rings would then fall out as my intent is for it to hang vertically.
Editor's note: These bars are intended to be used in drawers rather than to "hang" rings.

I would not recommend these. Quality is fine but they are useless to me for anything but very thin rings. If you want to display a thicker ring, cufflinks, or other jewelry forget it. The gaps are way too small and way to tight, and they reject most things you try to display.

The ring bars look very nice and are easy to work with. I, however, prefer the conventional round top shaped bars instead of the squared top as these are. The bars are very rigid and not good for rings with wider bands. For looks and ease of use these are the bars to use. For functionality I would make your own as I ended up doing.
