He already had a router, but needed a lightweight one for handheld use. This one suits his needs. We've bought Porter Cable products before and they're always excellent.

2) Submitted by David, from Ada, OK on 3/4/2008 Customer Rating: Smooth starts, very comfortable grip, well balanced, and plenty of power. Seems well made, and depth adjustments are fairly easy. Could be improved with a micro adjust dial/screw, but otherwise a great router.
