1) Submitted by Christopher Wright, from Verona, NJ on 4/27/2011 Customer Rating: This jig made by Wolfcraft is NOT a dowel CENTERING jig like 20262, it is a dowel ALIGNING jig! Different dowel jigs work best in different situations, and no single jig I have found is best or even usable for all jobs. Therefore I have found need for a few types and my collection grows from time to time. This one is merely one of my latest additions. You all need more than one for more than one type joint. For example, 35242 is great for mating large flat door/window molding stiles with matching arched top moldings - nature of the beast.

Once I figured out that the holes were not exactly in the center of the edges of the boards things went well. I'm still new at woodworking and this jig has been just what I've been looking for. Great tool at an even better price.

I still love it, but would like to have the holes centered for edge to edge joints. With a little time getting your edges square and stright they will turn out like a pro did them.

5) Submitted by Jim Alekna, from Kent, OH on 2/2/2010 Customer Rating: Worked well. Hex screws would have been better on the stops. Had to adjust for 3/4" plywood - Hole was off center but once noted, I worked around. Alignment better than biscuits. Waiting on the next project.

6) Submitted by Matt, from Ankeny, IA on 11/30/2010 Customer Rating: I have had this jig for years and have used it on many projects. I really like this jig it works great for both joining board straight or at 90 degree angle. I found out it does take some practice and pre planning because it doesn’t center the holes and really how could since it works on different thicknesses of wood. So if you want make sure that one side is up on both pieces of wood plan it before drilling. I would have given this 5 stars except I think it needs to come with another clamp. The piece with the jig holes is also a clamp to hold the wood in place, this means when you have long piece of wood you have to move the jig several times and move the clamp. You have to move one at a time to make sure the pieces of wood stays lined up. This would be much simpler with 2 clamps that you set and don’t move. The only other issue with this product is the depth stop rings for the bit sometimes move meaning the hole is deeper than it should be. There is also no depth guide for setting the depth stop ring. But over all this is a great product that I would buy again in a heartbeat.

7) Submitted by Jim Noeth, from Granite City, IL on 10/23/2009 Customer Rating: It worked very well for me, I've used it to do both edge to edge joints and right angle joints. The only 'not so good' are the stop collars, I replaced the slotted set screws with hex (allen) drive screws, and they work much better. Seems like it wouldn't cost much more to use those type of screws rather than slotted screws, which because of their small size, you can't tighten very tight. I would definitely recommend this product
