Worked well. Hex screws would have been better on the stops. Had to adjust for 3/4" plywood - Hole was off center but once noted, I worked around. Alignment better than biscuits. Waiting on the next project.

It worked very well for me, I've used it to do both edge to edge joints and right angle joints. The only 'not so good' are the stop collars, I replaced the slotted set screws with hex (allen) drive screws, and they work much better. Seems like it wouldn't cost much more to use those type of screws rather than slotted screws, which because of their small size, you can't tighten very tight. I would definitely recommend this product

For hobbyists who don't want to invest in a biscuit cutter, this jig is a great alternative - and less expensive. The directions are clear and easy to understand. The jig can be used almost effortlessly - even for mitered edges. The photo shows my first project using the jig: 1 x 8s joined on edge and mitered edge banding - all joined with the jig and dowels. I did use a good quality up-cutting drill bit intended for doweling, but the depth collars included in the kit would not work with this bit. A little bit of tape on the bit solved the problem, though.

For the lame woodworker (like me) who wants a plain and simple doweling solution, this product would be hard to beat. The directions are clear and the result is what one would expect. What more could you ask for?

Purchased the Dowel Pro Jig to repair and construct some cutting boards (edge to edge joints). The setup was easy. The key is the second clamp which secures the pieces while the dowel guide is in use and being moved. the dowel guide is then left in place to move the second clamp as needed. The alignment results were very good. After all joints glued, a run through the planer finishes the product. I am very pleased with this unique Jig. The price was reasonable and it was promptly shipped.

I set it up for the first time last night and it went very good. I joined two boards edge to edge and got a very nice joint. I do a lot of laminating to make panels for cabinets and this should make life a little easier, less planing and sanding. For the price, it is an exceptional deal and the quality seems to be quite good. It clamps the boards firmly in place and holds them there, unlike some other products I have used. I am very pleased with ordering from you. I usually get the confirmation email that the product has been sent the same day I receive it. Keep up the good work.
