Nice felt sanding blocks
Posted October 2, 2014
I am at the finishing stage of my first hand built acoustic guitar. As I am also setting up my home workshop for guitar building I purchased a couple of felt blocks for my personal shop. They have the same feel as the blocks in the lutherie shop and I am working through the grits toward a perfect finish. Was glad to find them at Rockler as I had looked on line and could not find them elsewhere. Great product.

I've been refinishing the stock on a Remington model #33 .22 rifle that sold for $5.00 in 1932. After putting on 8 coats of boiled linseed oil, I used this rottenstone on the stock, and I am blown away at the final finish I achieved! This old splinter-box of a stock, is now the nicest stock on any rifle I own, it has the older oil finished look of by-gone years. Thanks for your products!

I ordered the Felt Block 1'' X 2'' X 4'' Item #58289 to use when finishing my handmade pens and other items on the lathe. It is very hard to find a felt block this size anymore & it does wonders when finishing with the friction polish, it really brings out the shine. I have used the whole system with the pumice & rotten stone & rubbing oil with the felt block on a antique desk that I restored. It was absolutely beautiful when I finished the rubbing.I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
