- QuickSet Pressure Adapters
Overview
Finally, a simple replacement for the tedious double-nut fitting on most hold-down toggle clamps! Change depth-of-pressure in seconds with the adjustable rubber foot, and for movement in-and-out along the arm just loosen a single set screw and adjust away. A comfortable locking knob caps it all off. Available in two sizes, 5/16" and 1/4", based on bolt-diameter. 5/16" adapter's inside dimension: 5/8" x 11/16". Inside dimension of 1/4 adapter: 9/16" x 9/16". Featured on all of our new toggle clamps! Patented.

I am turning a Butcher Block table into a Island Cabinet. These slides will work perfect for the four drawers under the top. The Quick Clamps will be used for on a convertible table top to hold it in place.

what is the maximum material thickness you can clamp with these?
A shopper
on Jul 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It depends on the thickness the clamp is on. If the clamp is on 3/4 board then you can hold a 3/4 board with it. I added a longer threaded rod to hold small pcs on my miter saw.

Will these clamps hold a 1/4" 4x8 or 4x4 rigid pvc board on a wall?
Larry G
on Aug 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I've never tried it, but these little clamps can put out a lot of pressure. Get the larger ones for that type of work. You will want to adjust the clamps, and put on all four corners.

There is no reason why they wouldn't, use 4, one on each corner, they hold quite a bit.

Excellent purchase!
I built a segment bowl turning jig to cut the segments. The wood strips are always different thicknesses so I was constantly adjusting the toggle clamps. I had to keep tools close by and fiddle with the adjustments for several minutes between changes. With these toggle clamp adapters it takes about 20 - 30 seconds to make changes to both clamps. Worth every penny!

The next best thing to come down the pike. If you use toggle clamps, this is a got to have it item. The ease of adjustment from one setting to the next is fantastic. I highly reccomend them.

I have purchase a few of both sizes of these and have retrofitted some of the clamps I have (the ones I'm currently using the most). These are a major improvement to any clamp they fit, and the fact that all the new clamps will have these is great. I will eventually retrofit all of my clamps that need to be adjusted on a continual basis.

To tell you the truth, I...
To tell you the truth, I purchased these adapters to use on an aftermarket coping sled. The Delta sled that I purchased for my shaper was wobbly and the clamps were poorly designed and potentially dangerous. The Rockler adaptors are a major design improvement both in time saving and safety!

I can now use my toggle clamps! The old system was so ackward to use that my clamps sat in a drawer, unused. Now, with the Rockler Quickset Adapter, I am using my toggle clamps daily.

Good quality but too small
I bought these to retrofit a pair of older bench clamps I have. At some point in manufacturing some dimensions must have changed as these adapters don't fit. They look very well made and I'm keeping them to use on newer bench clamps when I get them.

If you have the old style...
If you have the old style clamps (the ones with a "Good Hand" logo stamped on one side, and their model number on the other), the 28153 will work great with a little effort on your part. You'll have to grind the logo and model number sides of the clamp down a bit. But after that, you are good to go. The fine folks at Rockler helped me out with this, so kudos to them! If you have some of those old "Good Hand" clamps and a grinding wheel, this adaptation will make you life a little easier (and us old folks like that idea).
