May 26, 2013 11:30 AM to 4 PM	Woodturning II: Bowls - with David Tilson Overview: This class builds on the skills and knowledge developed in Woodturning I. Students will learn about faceplate turning, bowl chucks and accessories; scrapers and specialty hollowing tools; and will develop cross-grain faceplate turning skills while turning an open-form bowl. Students must bring their own safety glasses, and may also bring their own sharp (ready-to-use) bowl gouge if desired. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. June 2, 2013 12 to 4 PM	Router Dovetail Machines - with David Tilson Overview: If you’ve just gotten a new dovetail machine, or if you’re tired of running through your entire scrap pile making test cuts and still not getting a tight-fitting joint, this is the class for you. You’ll get step-by-step guidance through the entire process, from preparing the project materials to fine-tuning the final fit of the dovetail joint, all while learning how to cut dovetails with your own tools! Students must bring their own safety glasses, hearing protection, router, and dovetail machine with router bits (Rockler or Porter Cable 4200 series only). A very limited number of routers and dovetail machines are available for loan during the class, but only by prior arrangement. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. June 9, 2013 12 to 4 PM	Fearless Finishing - with David Tilson Overview: Take the fear out of finishing! This two-session class (6/9 and 6/16) teaches everything you need to know to apply the perfect finish to just about any woodworking project. Students will learn finishing techniques by applying several finishes to sample boards during the class, which they will keep for future reference. Students need only bring their own safety glasses; all other materials will be provided. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Skill Level: Beginner Class Fee: $95.00	Orange

June 23, 2013 11:30 to 4 PM	Turning Wooden Pens - with David Tilson Overview: Learn the tricks to turning your own wooden pens from a master pen turner. You can either pick up the basics, or, if you’ve made a few pens before, you could polish your technique and pick up a few new tricks! Students must bring their own safety glasses; all other materials will be provided. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Skill Level: Beginner Class Fee: $65.00	Orange

June 30, 2013 11 AM to 4 PM	Veneering - with David Tilson Overview: Use veneers without fear, and find out why selective use of veneers can actually improve the quality of your woodwork. We’ll cover veneer selection and preparation, application tools and techniques, creating patterns and designs with parquetry, and much more! All materials will be provided.
